Access to the arts has never been more vital, and the generosity of our Members, Patrons and supporters has ensured that audiences of all ages have continued to enjoy everything that the Ashmolean has to offer, remotely.

Despite the unprecedented times we continue to find ourselves in the Ashmolean remains committed to sharing its remarkable treasures far beyond our walls and making our collections available to all. We have continued to offer opportunities for visitors to enjoy the Museum via our website and social media channels and be inspired by our collections, from home. To support classroom-based work and home learning we also launched a new programme of free online resources and live-streamed Primary School workshops based around our collections.

Whilst we have been able to welcome some people back to the Museum over the last year, we know many, including school groups, will be unable to visit in person for some time.

Going forward we intend to continue to complement physical visits to the Museum by engaging our audiences through digital means.

Your support at any level would make a huge difference, and we hope you will consider making a gift now. Your support will enable the development of new digital content ranging from videos and podcasts, to webinars exploring our temporary exhibitions and permanent collection. It will also make the expansion of our live-streamed workshops to secondary and further education students possible, ensuring that the Ashmolean continues to provide enriching and enlivening learning experiences.

We hope you will support our work in this area and help us to make the Ashmolean as accessible and inclusive as possible.

Making your gift

In line with Government guidelines, many of the Museum staff are working remotely. If you would like to support the Ashmolean, the best way to do so at this time is through our donation page. We apologise in advance for delays in processing gifts made by post.
