Entry to our ticketed exhibitions is free for Ashmolean Members. Advance booking for guaranteed entry is recommended, especially at busier times, but not essential.

Membership covers exhibition entry for any named Members (and one or two guests depending on membership type) and is not transferrable. Any non-Member guests not covered by your Membership will need to purchase tickets to our special exhibitions.


Members enjoy priority booking, unlimited exhibition entry, and exclusive Members-only preview days.


With your online Membership account you can update your details, access your digital Membership card, renew your Membership and book/view tickets for exhibitions and events all in one place. 

 Your new account will make things quicker and easier to access and maintain.


NB If you are logging in for the first time, click on 'Forgot password' and enter the email address associated with your Membership. We'll send a password reset email and you can get started. Newly-signed up Members should receive an initial Membership account confirmation email.

In the current economic climate, and with funding cuts and rising operational costs, we are more reliant than ever on self-generated income. In order to ensure that the Museum remains free for all, membership prices increased on 10 February 2023.

Paying for your membership by Direct Debit still offers the best value, saving you at least £5. Direct Debit memberships also help us to keep administration costs down, while also ensuring no gap in your membership.

Access the Membership account url and click on the 'Forgot password' button, and enter the email address associated with your membership. 

We will send a password reset email to your email address. When this arrives, please click on the 'Reset my password' button to setup your password.

Please note, passwords must be more than 8 characters, contain an upper-case character, a lower-case character, and have a number in a position other than the end.

If you are a newly-signed up Member, you will be contacted once your online Membership Account is ready to be accessed for the first time.

If you have forgotten your password, please use the 'Forgot password' button on the Membership account logon screen. This will send a password reset email to your email address which you can then use to reset your password.


Password reset tokens are valid for 10 minutes. If the password reset token is saying it is invalid, please repeat the steps under 'what should I do if I’ve forgotten my password?' again.


You can update your title, address, phone number and newsletter preferences with us. To update any other information, please get in touch with the Ashmolean Membership team at


To download the digital Membership card, click on the ' to Apple Wallet' button while using your Membership account on your phone. The Apple Wallet Membership can also be used with Google Wallet.

You can also access your digital Membership card on your mobile device and use it as proof of membership whilst at the Museum.


Your Membership will be automatically renewed, and we will always write to you before the next Direct Debit collection is due.
