We serve our lunch menu every day, 11.30–3.30pm (last seating/orders at 3.30pm), and our afternoon teas, 11.30–4pm (last orders at 4pm). Cream teas are also available every day from 3-4pm.

Booking in advance is strongly recommended.

Rooftop Restaurant Closure 13 January 2025

Due essential maintenance works, the Rooftop Restaurant will be closed all day on the 13 Jan 2025. 

We recommend you book for lunch and afternoon tea in advance, before your visit to the Museum.

For lunch or afternoon tea

The Restaurant is located on the top floor with stunning views over Oxford. Access is via the main museum entrance, using the central stairs or the visitor lift until 5pm. From 5pm (if applicable), via St. Giles and visitor lift. 
Please bring your booking confirmation (printed or on a mobile device) and present on arrival at the Restaurant.

Table reservations are for indoors. We do have an outdoor terrace, and subject to favourable weather and availability, you may be able to choose to sit outdoors.

‘Walk-ins’ may be available on the day but pre-booking is recommended.
