Museum admission is free. Walk-up tickets are now available on the door, but to guarantee entry at busy times, and to avoid waiting, booking tickets in advance is recommended. Booking is essential for our major exhibition.

The Ashmolean is maintaining Covid-secure measures to prioritise the safety of our visitors and staff. So that we can all enjoy the collections safely, you will notice a number of changes at the Museum.

TICKETING
Entry to the Museum is free but pre-booking is recommended to guarantee entry at busy times and to save time on arrival, but is not essential.

FACE COVERINGS / MASKS
Visitors and our staff may continue to wear face coverings if it makes them feel comfortable.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
There are no longer any special recommendations for social distancing.

CLEANING & HYGIENE
We maintain regular cleaning regimes and there are sanitisation points throughout the Museum.

ACCESS & FACILITIES
Our lifts, toilets and cloakrooms are all open as normal.

The lower ground floor Museum Shop has been closed for refurbishment, but is reopening on Fri 3 Feb.
Unfortunately, from 30 Jan–2 Feb, there will be no shop open in the Museum.
There are no other gallery or restaurant closures planned at present.
