LABYRINTH EXHIBITION CURATOR'S TOUR

This Members-only tour will take place in the exhibition gallery. Ticketholders should enter via the St. Giles entrance.

Drinks will be served in the Rooftop Restaurant from 6.30pm, following the tour.

Join Dr Andrew Shapland, Sir Arthur Evans Curator of Bronze Age and Classical Greece at the Ashmolean, in this guided tour of the Labyrinth: Knossos, Myth & Reality exhibition for Members.

The archaeological site of Knossos was famous in myth as the place where the Minotaur was imprisoned in a labyrinth, and in history as the centre of the Bronze Age Minoan civilisation, the home of the earliest farmers in Europe and a thriving Greek and Roman city.

Dr Shapland, curator of this major exhibition, will lead this tour, after which drinks will be served at the Rooftop Restaurant.
